Nexon Korea just bought out THINGSOFT the company that was in charge of working on the upcoming Anime MMORPG Project NT. Jeong SangWon the representative of THINGSOFT left Nexon around 2004 and is now ready to return back to Nexon Korea with Project NT. THINGSOFT is currently developing a couple of titles at the moment including Three Kingdoms Jojo Online, a lot of mobile titles, and more. With their development studio joining Nexon, they are planning on releasing all their titles within the company, including their future mobile games. To learn more about Project NT, check out my old preview on it by following this link.
Fantasy Frontier will finally be getting a Japanese port published by X-Legend Entertainment! Which is good news to my readers that can understand a bit of Japanese! The first Closed Beta for the Japanese version is scheduled to start this year or should I say very soon. I may be tempted to try out the Japanese version since I am bit familiar with the language. Though if you're patient enough, you can just wait for the English version.
Neowiz Bless Studio and Pmang released another new teaser update today introducing a new set of boss monsters along with a transformation video of Kamut the Wolf King. According to the developer team, some of the bosses in the game have a transformation or mutation system. They also said that not many online games have some kind of unique transformation and morphing system other than console titles. Boss monsters have their own unique attack patterns, special fights, and more. I am guessing that they are planning on having interactive boss battles instead of the usual Tank and Spank. Check out the transformation video below or at their main teaser page located here.
PearlAbyss and Daum updated their official Black Desert Online page with a Closed Beta application countdown! The recruitment page will go live on October 1st in South Korea. Unfortunately, the upcoming beta is restricted to Korean players only as it will have an IP block to players outside of South Korea. I'm really hyped up for the first Closed Beta, been waiting for this game for quite sometime now. If I am allowed, I will gladly make Ultra HD+ gameplay videos! The countdown teaser page is up a bit early, but that should give participants a heads up on when beta will be and to clear up their schedule. Perhaps it will be sometime in October or November? Until then, keep your fingers crossed and wait just a little bit longer.
Square-Enix Japan just released the Final Fantasy Agito Trailer for the iOS/Android device and to my surprise it's not a card game! The upcoming Type-0'ish game is free to play with micro transactions, most likely a stamina/fatigue system of some sort. Other than the whole RPG side of the game, players can strengthen their relationship with other NPC's through small scenario events. The developers also mention that Final Fantasy Agito should have a very long replay value as the story often changes. The game looks really good, about time SE released a nice quality looking game for the smartphone device that is not browser based or a cheap spin off.
Dragon Nest Korea just released a new trailer and update featuring the 2nd Nest dungeon. Upon successfully clearing the new Mist Nest Dungeon, players will obtain an important key item that will help them enter the 3rd Nest dungeon scheduled to come out later this year called Dragon Nest. Players can only clear this dungeon up to five times a week. Apparently there is a solo version of the dungeon along with the normal party mode. Haven't played Dragon Nest in awhile so I am not sure on the exact details. At the end of the dungeon and video below, you will see the Sobbing Mist Queen which is the final boss of the dungeon.
