Melpharia March came out late last week and is now available for the iiOS App Store. As it turns out, the Fantasy Earth Zero spin off title was a bit of a let down. I was actually looking forward to this game and downloaded it on release day. I've been playing it for a couple of days now, but couldn't really get into it much. First of all, Melpharia March felt like a low quality browser based Mobage title. It also needs a UI upgrade, buttons, menus, and more. The sound FX and BGM was a bit nostalgic but it would have been nice if they added new FX instead of recycling some of FEZ ones. If you're still interested, check out the trailer and tutorial on how to get started below.
BLUESIDE just released another new teaser trailer that's worth checking out for their upcoming massive online title called Kingdom Under Fire II. The 16 player coop trailer shows off the impressive game engine that can handle thousands of units on the screen without slowing down. It also shows off some of the field bosses along with the playable races of the game. The game looks great so far, though I think it can use a little bit of a UI upgrade. Most of the official KUF2 videos are recorded and played at 720p resolution, I wonder how well can it handle higher resolutions such as 1080p. I hope the CBT for the SEA version starts soon.
The 2nd Closed Beta for Devilian Online had just ended yesterday and I managed to try out the game to see what has changed then. I didn't really want to play the 2nd CBT much because the game is scheduled for Open Beta this year. However, I wanted to make a couple new gameplay videos so I decided to take a quick peek on what's new and if I would still enjoy playing the game a second time around.
Nexon Korea just bought out THINGSOFT the company that was in charge of working on the upcoming Anime MMORPG Project NT. Jeong SangWon the representative of THINGSOFT left Nexon around 2004 and is now ready to return back to Nexon Korea with Project NT. THINGSOFT is currently developing a couple of titles at the moment including Three Kingdoms Jojo Online, a lot of mobile titles, and more. With their development studio joining Nexon, they are planning on releasing all their titles within the company, including their future mobile games. To learn more about Project NT, check out my old preview on it by following this link.
Fantasy Frontier will finally be getting a Japanese port published by X-Legend Entertainment! Which is good news to my readers that can understand a bit of Japanese! The first Closed Beta for the Japanese version is scheduled to start this year or should I say very soon. I may be tempted to try out the Japanese version since I am bit familiar with the language. Though if you're patient enough, you can just wait for the English version.
Neowiz Bless Studio and Pmang released another new teaser update today introducing a new set of boss monsters along with a transformation video of Kamut the Wolf King. According to the developer team, some of the bosses in the game have a transformation or mutation system. They also said that not many online games have some kind of unique transformation and morphing system other than console titles. Boss monsters have their own unique attack patterns, special fights, and more. I am guessing that they are planning on having interactive boss battles instead of the usual Tank and Spank. Check out the transformation video below or at their main teaser page located here.
