Lineage Eternal Dungeons and Eternal System Preview

The new website for Lineage Eternal just launched today and a lot of people have been wondering about the new "Eternal" system. Players must now play as special heroes in the game known as Eternals. They're also able to freely switch between one of the thirteen playable Eternal Heroes of the game giving them a unique experience at all times.

A player can level up their Eternal by acquiring experience points through normal means. They can also further enhance, evolve, and customize an Eternal's skill differently by using various gems. As your Eternals become stronger, your "Eternal Team" level also rises granting special "Team Talent Points" that can be distributed to specific specializations towards your own personalized team.

As your Eternals grows stronger, your "Eternal Team" level also rises. When an "Eternal Team" reaches a certain level, certain special features is unlocked. Upon using those special powers, players become more powerful in combat. An Eternal Team consists of 4 Eternal Heroes.

It looks like they scrapped the whole class system shown in the older builds. There isn't that much information about the new Eternal System other than what I posted above. At first, I thought it was going to be a 1 player and 3 NPC's, but a fluent Korean friend of mine says that it's more of a tag-team system and you can only control and have one Eternal on the screen. Just have to wait for more videos. Perhaps it's a bit of both since there are a couple gameplay videos of solo Eternals and some Party Eternals like this one with Aydan and three support characters tagging along. It might also be dependant on the area or dungeon limiting the Eternals or Eternal Teams.

Lineage Eternal also offers all kinds of dungeons like the special unique dungeons such as the Cradle of Toara, Forbidden Graveyard, and the Maze of Madness shown above. However, there was one special dungeon that caught my interest! The Screaming Quarry is a very large field dungeon that supports 200 players in one zone and to make things much more interesting, it's a lawless zone and players are vulnerable to getting PK'ed. The Behemoth is the final boss of the Screaming Quarry and it's going to be very hard to defeat due to wide-area attacks and threat from other players in the zone. Incoming Guild drama or random trolling time?!

The Tower of Insolence is another interesting dungeon in Lineage Eternal. If you've been following the game right from the start, then you're well aware of the randomized real-time dynamic dungeon system, if you haven't, I posted the super old trailer below. Everything is randomized ranging from layout, stages, monsters, and more. Giving players a very unique and challenging experience each floor. The Tower of Insolence is also a time attack solo dungeon that requires an "Eternal Team" and you're able to change your team each floor. Aim for the top with your perfect Eternal Team and show off to your friends! Time attack you say? Once you enter the dungeon, you will receive a death debuff, once the debuff timer hits 0, Game Over! Why does it feel like every game has some form of Tower Ranking Adventures lately!?
